What's On My Playlist

When I work out on the elliptical, spin on the spinning bikes, or run on the dead-mill I like to watch a TV show. We have a TV in our workout room at home and there are also TVs on campus or at the YMCA; however, I prefer to watch my shows the next day or even a few weeks later on my iPad or iPhone because then I get to skip the commercials. Another nice thing about watching it on one of my devices is that I can pause the show and finish it the next day.

My favorite shows to watch are: The Bachelorette, Extreme Weight Loss, Pretty Little Liars and The Biggest Loser. Then I sometimes watch Netflix and miscellaneous shows from ABC, CBS or NBC.

When I am not watching a show I am listening to music. If I sit in silence and try to workout I will go NOWHERE. It is no fun for me. Especially when I am running. I need the music to motivate me and keep my legs moving.

The songs currently on my ‘workout’ playlist are:
Any Way You Want It ~ Journey
Beautiful~ Akon
Beautiful Girls ~ Sean Kingston
Best Days ~ Matt White
Call Me Maybe ~ Carly Rae Jepsen
Don’t Stop Believing ~ Journey
Down ~ Jay Sean
Forever ~ Chris Brown
F*ck You ~ Cee Lo Green
Blurred Lines ~ Robin Thicke
I Gotta Feeling ~ The Black Eyed Peas
I Run For Life ~ Melissa Etheridge
I Won’t Give Up ~ Jason Mraz
Whatcha Say ~ Jason Derulo
Signle Ladies ~ Beyoncé
Life Is a Highway ~ Rascal Flatts
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Got Enough~ Michael Jackson
If I Loved You ~ Delta Rae
Royals ~ Lorde
Wake Me Up ~ Avicii
On Top Of The World ~ Imagine Dragons
Demons ~ Imagine Dragons
Roar ~ Katy Perry
Wrecking Ball ~ Miley Cyrus

Love this song... So sad I watched the
music video porn video

absolute all time FAVORITE song

Each one of these songs help me get through my workout. When the songs Beautiful and Beautiful Girls come on I just remind myself how beautiful I am and how I will turn heads. {haha I know it is tacky!} When the song F*ck You comes on I just think of all of the jerks in this world and I think to myself to forget about them. They don’t matter and especially not in your workout! I Run For Life, this is a song about breast cancer. I know a few people who have/ have had breast cancer and it is about being strong and tough. {Waddup Breast Cancer awareness month. Show some boobie pride!}

The best thing is when I am nearing my run and I can see my house/ campus, there is two things going through my head: sprint to the finish line you are almost there {but then I think hell no I have nothing left to sprint there brain! Chill-out} and my other thought is to start walking and begin my cool down {but then I think why the heck would I not go to the finish line, that would just be stupid, right?} Then the song DON’T STOP BELIEVING ~ Journey comes and I literally feel like I could run 3 more miles. It is amazing what one song can do for you!

I am liking this quote... I did something big today that I will share tomorrow. I mean don't get too excited, it's not that special. : )

“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”
- Earl Nightingale
