My Love For Panera

Panera. Is. The. Best. Restaurant. Ever. End of story. Ok I love, love, love Panera. It is one of those restaurants you can eat at and walk away feeling GOOD. To me, it seems like there aren't a ton of restaurants left like that.

Yes, I people were wondering why I took this picture. ha ha
Things I love about Panera: the freshness, the greens, the look of the chicken, how they cater to you (no worries if you want something taken off or added to your meal), so many healthy options, the quality of their food. I am a poor college student; however, I will not settle on a crappy meal from McDonalds. Maybe last year at this time I would... But not anymore! I am willing to pay a little more for better quality.

So fresh
When I go to Panera I like to do the soup and salad combo. I love their chicken noodle soup (all natural, too!) or chicken lemon one, but when I am doing GF I like the bean soup. For a salad I LOVE the Cobb salad. It has leafy greens, bacon, cheese, dressing, chicken, tomatoes, and avocados. I get it with out cheese and bacon and with the dressing on the side.

Panera list the calories of all of there food so you can be aware. I love when restaurants do this. It makes you think before you get that tasty mac n’ cheese that is 930 calories, gulp. The salad I got started around 550 calories; however, the way I eat it is healthy because I omit the cheese, bacon and dressing. So it may still be somewhere around 300 calories but it is GOOD calories. So tasty and so healthy.

It is so darn good and if I could spend $13.67 on every meal I ate I probably would be at Panera more often. : )

I am doing day one of my two day cleanse (Thirty Day Challenge/ Cleanse) through Isagenix today... The mom I nanny for told me to brig the kids out to lunch and then to DQ for a treat. AHH! It's going to be hard but I'm feeling pumped and ready! I CAN do this and I WILL do this.

No More Grandma Feet

Sometimes it sucks being a girl. I could list SO many things that are unfortunate about girls; however, look at guys, who would want to be a guy?!

Ok, if I could totally get rid of cramps and bloating that would be frickin’ amazing. A few other things too.

The feet we have…. Ehh. Sometimes that sucks too! Like I kinda have grandma feet and I’m 19…

So I have a quick one for you to try! I found this one on Pinterest. It worked!!

¼ c. Listerine
¼ c vinegar
½ c warm water (like hot)

Just put it in a large container and BAMM you just created heaven. Let soak on your feet for 10 minutes or a little more.

After ten minutes your feet will feel so soft and the dead skin will literally fall off. I recommend putting a towel under the bowl so you don’t have dead skin on the floor.

Hope it works for you like it did for my mom and I!

Happy Hump Day!

Thirty Day Challenge

My mom and I started a thirty day cleanse through Isagenix. And folks I am here to tell you we made it through THREE days! Whoo-hoo!

Okay, so you don't starve yourself for thirty days. Heck no, I like my food too much for nonsense like that.

Yes, this is what sucks. This is out all day long
at the house I nanny for... I haven't had one! Woot woot!
You cleanse four days throughout the thirty-day period. Two different times, two days then wait one week then two more days. On these days you DO eat some food/snacks/water/special juice.

Taste like a chocolate malt... Seriously!!

On your non-cleanse days you have two Isagenix meal replacement shakes and another meal that is 400-600. The thing to this meal is to have it be CLEAN. So chicken, salads, veggies, etc. Skip the pasta and bread! Also, you are supposed to eat vegetables up the wazoo and you are suppose to limit your fruit intake. (because fruit it higher in sugar; however, I am still eating some fruit! It is my sugar!!) There are snacks through Isagenix also that taste like cake batter. So dang good!

I'm not going to lie; it has been hard at times. I look at the ice cream I'm giving the kids I babysit for and I just remind myself "ick, no, you'll feel better if you pass". And honestly when I am in bed at night I am thinking to myself "way too go girl! You rock!".

I’m feeling pretty good not only on the outside but the inside too! Ultimately the most important key of life is to feel good on the INSIDE!

The hardest part I know will be when I return to school in late August. I will have to skip the frozen yogurt and the late night pizzas that we often did once a week last year. But if I want to be healthy I need to limit myself to once every few weeks. (Which will be a good change at first, then limit myself even more; however, I will still let myself enjoy life and the food and people around me : ))

Here are some pictures! I am trying to make this enjoyable {I didn’t get a picture of this but we take one of our juice drinks in a shot glass!}

P.S. Those new running shoes have been put to good use! I am running with the foster dog my family is watching. He is great motivation, minus when he stops to pee at every mailbox – little stinker!
